Hello, nice to meet you all, and especially Rick W and Todd, whom I have admired from afar for years. I am a landscape architect, I model sites and places with SketchUp. I started on SU4pro, some years ago, when I brought the firm I was working for into SU use, by creating protocols for modeling site designs from CAD drawings, and also from sketches. At that time, we used SU for presentations and also for design development. I have moved to my own firm, where I find myself modeling larger places: recently modeled an urban neighborhood, and am now working on an entire watershed, about 12 miles by 3 miles. I recently lost all my e-mails, so I can't remember if it was Rick or Todd who helped me on my neighborhood model. I asked for (and was willing to pay for) a custom ruby, and you gave me a free one! whattaguy!
I am more likely to test or utilize a ruby than write one. But over the years I have surely appreciated the open attitude of SketchUp users. Thanks for creating these forums.

Google has a whole network of training available, and they have contracted with individuals to provide training too. Where are you located?

Hello! I am a new member to this forum. I have been using SketchUp since version 5. Recently, I have been interested in learning how to write a ruby script. Anyway, I'm brand new here and to anything involving Ruby, so I best be doing some reading and researching before I start asking any questions. Thank you!

I'm Bob from Atlanta. I am an architect and want to use SketchUp for model building. I am working with a professor at Kennesaw State University. He is building a virtual reality world similar to Second Life for public education. I hope to do some model building for him. I know SketchUp is not the prefered modeling package for VR, but I do want to learn the package. I just purchased BoolTools. Is this the proper place to ask questions? I just joined moments ago and look forward to learning more about your work.
